The Doshas | vata, pitta, + kapha

Much of my inspiration for Infinite Warrior began when I first started practicing yoga. Both my mind + body were changing from my time on the mat rather quickly. My curiosity led me to teacher training so that I could better understand what was happening + how I could share this with everyone that was willing to listen. One of the first things that I learned about was a new word for body type: dosha!

For as long as I can remember, a very important part of my life has always been about practicing a happy + healthy lifestyle. When I started to learn more about doshas, I became more comfortable in my own skin. Things that stood out to me before as different were actually a part of my DNA. The more I learned about my own dosha makeup the more I realized how easy it can be to have a more balanced life.

What is a dosha? Your body type is shaped by your individual nature, which determines your dosha. The three doshas are Vata (air), Pitta (fire + water), and Kapha (earth + water).

Why is knowing your dosha so important? When you're aware of your dosha, you have an opportunity to have internal harmony and a balanced state of being. This is one of the central ideas in Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest holistic healing practices. If you're not at all familiar with this, it's something that I will continue to explain in greater detail. The most exciting part of all of this is that understanding it will help you with both daily + seasonal routines that gift maximal health, mental clarity, + longevity.

Since I find so much value in this, it was important to me to create a quiz so that you can discover your dosha as well. Infinite Warrior means much more to me than wearing our healing stone bracelets... it's also about living with intention + self awareness.

So please take a few minutes and check out the Dosha Quizzes for both your physical + mindset dosha. I am looking forward to learning more about all of this together, and I really hope you find this first introduction to be helpful + intriguing! More discussions to come soon.
